Viljandi Linnavalitsuse eesmärgiks on Viljandi linna jäätmejaama kaasajastamine. Viljandi jäätmejaam, asukoht Viljandi linn Pärnu maantee 36, katastrikood 89718:001:0074. Jäätmejaam (edaspidi ka jaam) funktsioneerib piirkondliku käitluskeskusena, seda kasutatakse eriliigiliste jäätmete vastuvõtmiseks-üleandmiseks ja muudeks käitlustoiminguteks. Jaama opereerib kuni 31.03.2027 Eesti Keskkonnateenused AS, jaam teenindab Viljandi linna ja Viljandi maakonna omavalitsuste elanikke ning ettevõtteid.
