… Prime Minister's Office on 1 July 2026. The Government Communications Department is responsible for the communications of the Government and its ministries and for coordinating the communications of central government. The Recommendation on the use of sign languages in Government communications 2025 promotes the realisation of sign language rights. In addition to the interpretation and translation services related to communications, the procurement also targets other sign language interpretation and translation needs of ministries (sub-areas 5-8), for which the Prime Minister's Office acts as the head of the procurement ring and the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance as well as the Office of the Chancellor of Justice are involved in the procurement ring. Other interpretations from Finnish and Swedish into Finnish-Swedish Sign Language and from Finnish-Swedish Sign Language into Finnish and Swedish 7. Other translations from Finnish into Finnish Sign Language 8. Other translations from Swedish into Finnish-Swedish Sign Language The tenderer may submit a tender in one or more areas. A framework agreement will be set up for each area, with the selected suppliers ranked in order of priority. The estimated value of the procurement is approximately EUR 100,000 per year for all languages combined. A two-year (24-month) framework agreement will be concluded with the selected suppliers, which will include two one (1) year options.
