Subcontracting area 10 differs from other winter maintenance areas in that the successful contractor in the area is selected as the first contractor for the entire winter maintenance. The contract period is one winter maintenance period (winter 2026-2027) + possible option winter maintenance periods (winter 2027-2028) + (winter 2028-2029). The estimated start time of the contract is the early winter of 2026. The contracting entity may offer the successful contractors, at the hourly rates they offer, also separately ordered winter maintenance work outside the contract area.
