Timber harvesting Western Finland 2027, Nature Services Metsähallitus Nature Services requests offers on timber harvesting at restoration sites in Kauhajoki, Isojoki and Karvia. The distance between the felling sites is approximately 50 km as the crow flies. Harvesting includes thinning and ditch line felling during winter. As a rule, harvesting sites are weak in terms of load-bearing capacity. Harvesting must take place between 1.1.2027 and 31.3.2027 and between 1.1.2028 and 31.3.2028, but due to weather conditions the harvesting period may be extended between 1.1.2029 and 31.3.2029. The total amount of wood to be felled is approximately 3100 m³, which is divided into approximately 1900m3 for winter 2027 (4 works) and 1200m3 (2 works) for winter 2028. … The average accumulation per hectare is 40 m³/ha. For logging patterns with only ditch line logging, the rate is based on regeneration logging. Logging patterns that involve thinning in addition to ditch line logging use the logging rate. Harvesting does not include driving logging residues. Harvesting will begin at all sites only after Metsähallitus has granted a permit. Metsähallitus is responsible for road ploughing. The procurement and its terms and conditions and requirements are described in more detail in the annexes to this invitation to tender. The offer is requested to be reported as a multiplier based on Metsähallitus' tariff table. One contractor will be selected on the basis of a call for tenders.,
