What the buyer is looking for
With this notice, Metsähallitus invites bids for the provision of a waterway transport service to Vallisaari for the years 2027-2029. The purpose of the water route is to transport visitors to Vallisaari from the Market Square in Helsinki. The Vallisaari connection is the only route connecting the island to the mainland, with an estimated 50,000 passengers per year. The Helsinki Biennial will attract 120,000 visitors to Vallisaari in 2027 and 120,000 in 2029. One service provider will be selected on the basis of a tendering procedure. A more detailed description of the route is given in Annex 1 to the invitation to tender. The customer does not commit to the estimates of the procurement volumes set out in the invitation to tender. The procurement is carried out through an open procedure in accordance with Section 32 of Act 1397/2016 on Public Contracts.,
