Social and emotional robot The procurement consists of one (1) programmable and interactive social and emotional humanoid/service robot. The total value of the procurement shall not exceed EUR 75,000 (VAT 0%). The robot shall be designed for safe indoor operation and human interaction. It must support Finnish-language communication and be capable of facilitating social interaction, autonomous activities, emotional engagement, and the safe handling of objects. The robot must be suitable for educational, guidance, rehabilitation, and student support environments. The primary purpose of the procurement is to support Care Assistant Education by providing students with hands-on experience in healthcare and welfare technologies, social robotics, communication, guidance, and technology-assisted care. The robot will also be used in simulation-based learning and to familiarise students with technologies commonly encountered in modern working life. In addition, the robot will be available for multidisciplinary use across the contracting authority's educational programmes and support services. It will function as a shared pedagogical resource that promotes communication, participation, digital skills, and familiarity with emerging technologies. The robot may be used in various educational and operational roles, including learning support, interactive communication, visitor guidance, information sharing, wellbeing reminders, event reception, and customer interaction training.
