Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialueella on käytössä enFlow™IV nesteen- ja verenlämmitysjärjestelmä, jota käytetään potilaalle annettavien suonensisäisten nesteiden ja verivalmisteiden lämmittämiseen. Tarkoituksena on ehkäistä potilaan tahatonta jäähtymistä, hypotermiaa, ja näin auttaa ylläpitämään potilaan normaalia ruumiinlämpöä esimerkiksi leikkausten, tehohoidon, päivystyksen ja potilassiirtojen aikana. Hankinnan kohteena olevat tarvikkeet ovat laitesidonnaisia Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialueen omistamiin enFlow -laitteisiin. Laitevalmistaja on ilmoittanut, että laitteessa voidaan käyttää ainoastaan heidän valmistamiaan tarvikkeita. Tarvikkeiden ainoa mahdollinen toimittaja on Timik Oy. Suorahankinnan perusteena on hankintalain 40§ 2 momentin 2 kohta teknisestä tai yksinoikeuden suojaamiseen liittyvästä syystä vain tietty toimittaja voi toteuttaa hankinnan; lisäedellytyksenä on, että järkeviä vaihtoehtoisia tai korvaavia ratkaisuja ei ole eikä kilpailun puuttuminen johdu hankinnan ehtojen keinotekoisesta kaventamisesta. Sopimuskausi on 1.10.2026 – 30.9.2028 + toistaiseksi jatkuva sopimuskausi.
