Terrace renovation project of the Nordic Pavilion in Venice, Italy, and other additional works The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland (later refers also as “the Ministry” or “Contracting Authority”) invites the tenderers to submit their tender regarding Terrace renovation project of the Nordic Pavilion in Venice, Italy. The Nordic Pavilion in Venice is a concrete structure building jointly owned by Finland, Norway and Sweden and designed by the Norwegian architect Sverre Fehn. The building is originally from the 1960s (1962). The procurement of the terrace renovation of the Nordic Pavilion includes fixing the infiltration issues of the storage spaces on the back of the building. This will mainly include fixing the waterproofing on the terrace area and stairs, changing the tiling on the same area, removing the tiles on top of the wall, and fixing the concrete wall top. The Contracting Authority has commissioned the design phase of the terrace project from an external consultant. The design documents have been prepared and finalized. For the avoidance of doubt, the present procurement concerns the execution of the works only, and does not include design responsibility. The Contractor shall perform the works in accordance with the documents provided by the Contracting Authority. The renovation project will be carried out according to architectural and technical plans: - NP Terraces and Staircase Drawings - NP Terraces and Staircase - NP Terraces and Staircase time schedule The total value of all options shall not exceed 15 % of the estimated contract value of the original procurement. As a result of the procurement, the Contracting Authority will award the contract to one (1) contractor. The scope of the contract and desired quality level of the renovation project is determined in more detail in the annexes. Tenders shall be prepared in English. Partial tenders are not allowed. Variant tenders are not allowed. Parallel tenders are not allowed. Each tenderer shall submit one (1) tender. SITE VISIT NOTE. As a condition for the acceptance of a tender, the Contracting Authority requires that each tenderer has participated in a site visit in the Nordic Pavilion, Venice, Italy. Tenderers intending to submit a tender in this procurement procedure are asked to register for the site visit. More detailed information about the registration is available in this invitation to tender. The visit will be arranged in September 2026. The Contracting authority will meet the registered tenderers at the Nordic Pavilion, Venice, Italy on Wednesday and Thursday, 16th-17th September 2026. A more detailed schedule and further instructions will be provided to the tenderers who have registered for the site visit.,
