Länsi-Uudenmaan hyvinvointialue hankkii ikääntyneiden yhteisöllistä asumista yksityisiltä palveluntuottajilta hankinnan kohteen kuvauksessa ja osallistumispyynnössä tarkemmin kuvatuin ehdoin. Palvelua hankitaan sekä suomen- että ruotsinkielisille Asiakkaille. Yhteisöllinen asuminen tarkoittaa sosiaalihuoltolain (1301/2014) 21b §:n mukaisesti hyvinvointialueen järjestämää asumista esteettömässä ja turvallisessa asumisyksikössä, jossa henkilön hallinnassa on hänen tarpeitaan vastaava asunto ja jossa asukkaille on tarjolla sosiaalista kanssakäymistä edistävää toimintaa.
