… clearing (patrol and periodic) of roads to achieve the respective degrees and level of winter maintenance, clearing of snow shafts, snowdrifts and snowmobiles and removal of compacted snow-ice layers; -protecting roads against slipping: dispersion of mineral materials and chemical substances; snow protection of roads; -preparation of roads for operation in winter conditions - the aim is to prevent these types of works from increasing the existing damage to the road surface and to improve traffic safety, as well as to facilitate the performance of winter cleaning activities. The preparation of the roads for operation in winter conditions includes activities aimed at ensuring the necessary operational condition of the municipal road network before the onset of the winter period and at creating conditions for the safe and effective performance of winter maintenance and snow removal activities.
