Das Areal und die baulichen Anlagen stammen aus den 1930er Jahren, sind Bestandteil des ehemaligen Reichsparteitagsgeländes und stehen unter Denkmalschutz. Die Maßnahme umfasst mehrere Bauabschnitte, geplante Fertigstellung ist im Jahr 2030.
