Gegenstand der Beschaffung ist ein vollständig funktionsfähiger, kalibrierbarer und für den wissenschaftlichen Laborbetrieb geeigneter Millimeterwellen-Interferometriemessplatz zur Charakterisierung von Hochfrequenzkomponenten, Radarsystemen und -Antennen. Die drei Kernfunktionen Netzwerkanalyse, Spektral-/Signalanalyse sowie analoge und vektorielle Signalgeneration müssen die für die jeweilige Funktion erforderlichen Frequenzbereiche bis 170 GHz abdecken. Der Messplatz wird insbesondere für die experimentelle Untersuchung von Millimeterwellen-Interferometrie und Radar eingesetzt. Wesentliche Anwendungen sind die Untersuchung von Nichtlinearitäten, Mehrfachreflexionen, Phasen- und Amplitudenfehlern, Rausch- und Phasenrauscheigenschaften sowie die Charakterisierung von Antenne-Funkkanal-Ziel-Wechselwirkungen in kontrollierten Freiraum- und Nahfeldszenarien.
