Der Messplatz wird insbesondere für die experimentelle Untersuchung von Millimeterwellen-Interferometrie und Radar eingesetzt. Wesentliche Anwendungen sind die Untersuchung von Nichtlinearitäten, Mehrfachreflexionen, Phasen- und Amplitudenfehlern, Rausch- und Phasenrauscheigenschaften sowie die Charakterisierung von Antenne-Funkkanal-Ziel-Wechselwirkungen in kontrollierten Freiraum- und Nahfeldszenarien.
