Die Studie umfasst die Sicherheitsanalyse von verschiedenen Migrationsverfahren für Datenbanksysteme. Es sollen relevante Migrationsstrategien erläutert und die bei einer Migration wirkenden Risiken analysiert und beschrieben sowie Sicherheitsanforderungen abgleitet werden. Hierbei soll die Migration von einem proprietären- zu einem Open-Source-Datenbanksystemen und die Migration von einem On-Premises- zu einem in der Cloud betriebenen Datenbanksystem betrachtet werden. Für alle Sicherheitsrisiken sollen Anforderungen abgeleitet werden, die an die Migration zu stellen sind. Weiterhin soll eine praktische Umsetzung einer Migration zu einem Open-Source Datenbanksystem und in die Cloud erfolgen. Ziel ist es, die theoretisch beschriebenen Migrationsstrategien und Sicherheitsanforderungen auf ihre technische Machbarkeit, Effektivität und Praxistauglichkeit hin zu überprüfen.
