Der zu erneuernde Streckenbereich erstreckt sich von der Kreuzung Barbarossaplatz bis ca. 50m in den U-Bahn-Tunnel und hat eine Streckenlänge von ca. 430 m Doppelgleis und enthält einen Festpunkt.
