Der Betriebsausschuss hat beschlossen, alle Abfallbehälter (Rest- und bioabfall sowie PPK) im Landkreis mit Transpondern ausstatten und zukünftig die Abfuhr mit einem Identsystem durchführen zu lassen. Die entsprechende Software für die Behälterverwaltung und Gebührenveranlagung wurde bereits ausgeschrieben und befindet sich in der Einführungsphase. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Ausschreibung ist die Lieferung von Transponderchips und das Nachrüsten der Behälter im Landkreis (Nachchippen).
