Gegenstand der Ausschreibung ist eine Abstraktions- oder Virtualisierungssoftware für S3-basierten Objektspeicher, welche als Trenn- oder eben Abstraktionsschicht zwischen dem eigentlichen Objektspeicher und den diesen nutzenden Anwendungen liegen soll. Die Software soll im Rahmen des Forschungsdatenmanagement eingesetzt werden. Dabei wird die Software elementarer Bestandteil der Lösungslandschaft, sodass die RWTH Aachen als Betreiber dauerhaft den Zugang zum Quellcode der Software erhalten muss.
